San Diego Barefoot Memories is a mommy-owned company started by me, Carey Schumacher.
My love of photography and children has helped me build San Diego Barefoot Memories into a successful business with over one thousand delighted clients. Years ago, I tried to find an outdoor portrait photographer to take pictures of my family on the beach during my grandmother's visit to San Diego. I was discouraged by the high prices for sitting fees and reprints, and I decided that if I ever were to start a photography business of my own, my pricing would be affordable and straightforward. The average San Diego family should be able to have gorgeous outdoor photos without breaking the bank!
After much prayer and encouragement from friends and family, I started San Diego Barefoot Memories with the goal of providing beautiful and affordable outdoor family portraits to San Diego locals and visitors.
My services are well suited towards San Diego visitors and tourists. Before and after the photo shoot, all consultation is done over the phone or email, so there's no need to schedule in-person consultations or proof-viewings that would take time away from your family's vacation. Every client has a private password-protected gallery showcasing their Barefoot Memories portraits. The galleries provide convenient and secure online ordering, so families can forward the link and password to their family and friends around the world. Loved ones can then order their own pictures and gifts shipped directly to their homes.
Most of my photo shoots are in La Jolla, Coronado, or Balboa Park.
