Teaching photography workshops is awesome.
Speaking at photography tradeshows is a blast.
Appearing on TV to talk about photography is cool, too.

Workshops, tradeshows, and appearances are a great way to help others in a group setting, and I’ve got a lot of that coming up this year (stay tuned). BUT, I’m finally launching what I’ve wanted to do for years: ONE-ON-ONE mentoring!
If you’re a photography enthusiast with a nice camera or a pro wanting some guidance, we can have a 90-minute 1-on-1 mentoring session either in person (in San Diego), or over the internet (via e-conference with voice, video, and screensharing).
We can talk about whatever you want:
posing, equipment, business practices, website design/layout, marketing, how to build the perfect Chipotle taco, working with natural light, portfolio review, post processing, … anything but cooking!
If you choose an in-person session in San Diego, you can even bring your kids along with your camera, and I’ll teach you how to use your own camera to capture fabulous images of them using your own equipment!
One thing I’ve learned from my workshops & teaching is this:
Most folks eagerly take their new knowledge, go to town, have fun … and then the inevitable happens — more questions come up!
So I’ve built in a way to add on more 1-hour follow-up sessions (at a lower rate!).
