I’m not dead!

There I was on Saturday, walking towards the Coronado sand with my clients, and the mom voiced the little chastisement that I’ve been imposing on myself all summer when she said, “I haven’t been seeing any blog posts from you lately!”

I told her what I’m telling you now: “I know, I know!! I’m sorry! I’m not dead. I think that will be the title of my next blog post!” (BAM! Check out that self-fulfilling prophecy!)

So, what HAVE I been doing since that last blog post back in May???
Rest assured, I have been taking lots of pictures!

side note: I know that’s not assuring to you. “Rest assured” is just a saying to help folks like me feel way more important than we actually are by believing people will actually be “assured” when they hear from us.   I know reality is far from this fantasy I’ve built for myself, but thanks for playing along!

In the midst of taking pictures & neglecting my blog, I’ve also been enjoying a darn good summer with my kids. Today is their first day back at school, and it is NO COINCIDENCE that I’m finding time to post on my blog today. All summer long, when I’d finished taking summertime pictures & getting images to clients, I’d sit at my computer and think, “Blog post? pft. Trampoline? Heck ya!” (Substitute trampoline for Little Big Planet, soccer, park, whatever you can think of that sounds a whole lot more fun than typing a blog post, and we’ve been doing it!) I’d quickly post something on Twitter or Facebook, then it was TOODLES to the computer chair!

I’m going to try to get back into the blog posting swing of things now that school is back in session, and to start it off, here are two more random happy images from the past few months. Both make me smile & giggle whenever I see them, and hopefully they’ll bring a little grin to your Monday afternoon as well.
