Happy New Year from La Jolla

Happy New Year! My first session of 2011 is coming in a few days. Until then, I thought I’d share with you my last session of 2010, and it was a FUN ONE! This family had gotten together for the holidays, and there was a new engagement to capture, too, since Big Bro had just proposed to his sweetheart at Christmas time!

We met in La Jolla as the tide was going down, just days after a big rain storm.
Low tide + post storm + La Jolla = AWESOME!!!
AWESOME = Clear blue sky and Cool caves to explore.

During the summer, sand returns to this beach by the megaton, completely burring these caves for most of the year.

During high tide, these caves are completely under water, so the timing of this session couldn’t have been much better!

Check out the pics from inside one of those caves down there. AND, you can see how we dealt with a very bright sun on a very bald noggin. Pft. Who needs expensive lighting equipment!!??
