Nearing the end of this family's photo session in La Jolla,
we decided to try a "family feet" shot.

Mom & I both knew the older kids wouldn't be a problem.
It was the antsy daredevil toddlers who consumed our attention.

"No problem," I said, as I quickly gave instructions,
telling everyone how to sit on the ledge of rock.

We got everyone in line, and I fired off a few shots quickly.


Knowing I got what I wanted, I stood up to take a breath,
and here's what happened:

BBQSmackdown is less than a week away!

As they say, "*crud* rolls downhill."
So, when I'm planning an event with Skip Cohen, president of WPPI & Rangefinder,
guess who gets to do all the busy work to make this even happen!?
Yup, me.
But that's OK!
I don't mind. Primarily, because I have some awesome people
helping me out on this, AND it will ALLLLL be worth it when the votes are counted
and it's revealed that I am the champion of BBQSmackdown 2008!

I just ordered the CHAMPION's trophy, and it's going to look great in my office!

These Norwegian lovebirds hired me to take pictures of them as a couple
for their 40th wedding anniversary. 40 YEARS! Doesn't that just make you smile?

They still wear the same rings they gave each other on their wedding day, all those years ago.
Pictures like this are taken very often at weddings or during engagement photo sessions,
usually to show off a huge amazing ring.

I always like seeing those shots (they're really cool!), but instead of diamond facets,
the years of simple unwavering commitment are providing all the shine and sparkle in this image:

Monday, Rob came to shoot Mat's Rebels Soccer team with me.
He even brought a Hasselblad camera!

It's REALLLY late right now,
so I don't have the energy or brain power to write anything snazzy or charming,
so you'll just have to enjoy the pictures.

I LOVE how they turned out!

Years have gone by since I've had to cope with her,
but I should have known those days wouldn't last forever.

Alas, she's back, and I've got to deal with her and her effect on my husband.

Her name is Dana.

Dana Scully.





Everything will be fine, though,
because Mulder is just as cute and hot as ever,
and Jason's OK with that.

Now, we just have to find a babysitter so we can go see the movie!
