My experience with tradeshows, up till now, has been limited to shows that are
all about photographers and photography.
Photography tradeshows are really great for networking
and seeing the latest & greatest
that the photography world has to offer.
Macworld was a really refreshing change.
There were photographers at Macworld this week, which was awesome
(by the way... it was so cool to see everyone who dropped by to say HI!),
but the vast majority of people who stopped by the booth were not "pro" photographers.
They were folks who were excited about taking pictures,
and they were so excited to be able to create beautiful things with their photos.
Prints, canvas, cards, calendars, books, puzzles, on and on and on...
The folks who stopped by were stoked to take it all in with fresh eyes like kids in a toy store.
Molding my brain to see photo books & metallic prints through their eyes was a fun exercise.
I need to do that more often!
I've got some cool stuff coming for you guys, too, thanks to my time at Macworld.
Mpix announced that they're starting to roll out "coupon codes"
FINALLY!!
I've been asking for this for years!!
The dudes from Mpix told me that they'll set you up with a deal once they get back
from ImagingUSA next week in Phoenix.
It'll be a special deal just for my blog readers.
It won't last long, so you'll need to be quick, but you'll be able to save some money
on great stuff from Mpix, so stay tuned!!
